This non-accredited information session teaches the skills and knowledge required to recognise emergencies and provide immediate and effective first aid treatment to children and babies suffering a sudden illness or injury. 

This course is ideal for new parents and grandparents. Topics covered include but are not limited to CPR, Choking, Asthma, Allergic reactions, Bleeding, Burns, Childhood illnesses, Diabetes, and drug overdose.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

1. Assess the situation and prioritize first aid.
2. Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation to an infant and child.
3. Apply appropriate techniques and first aid principles to manage incidents and injuries. Identify and respond to common medical emergencies, including allergic reactions, asthma, and anaphylaxis.
4. Demonstrate effective communication and coordination when seeking assistance from emergency services and reporting incidents.
